ALLĀH GOT HIS & JESUS’ NAME WRONG
WRITING A CHAPTER OF THE QUR’AN

1. ALLAH GOT HIS NAME WRONG:
The Christian’s charge that Allāh got His name wrong is amusing.
It is strange that Christians are trying to find fault with Allāh/Islam, whereas in contrast no Christian or Jew knows the name of their God. The name Christians commonly used for God is Jehovah and Yahweh. But Jehovah does not exist and Yahweh is an assumption.
It is said that Jews considered the name of God too Holy to articulate, so they referred to God as YHWH. After a time the name of God was forgotten. Later, vowels were added to YHWH to produce a name. Which would give YAHOWAH, YAHWEH, YEHOWAH and other variations consistent with Hebrew.
Christians are guessing the name of their God.
God said His names are “I AM” and “JEALOUS”–(Exodus 3:14; 34:14). Why are Christians not addressing God as “I AM” and “JEALOUS”? Are Christians ashamed of these names of God that they address/refer to Him by make-believe names?
Christians and Jews use the same Old Testament. If Allāh is a different God from that of Christians because Muslims do not accept Jesus as God or son of God or vicarious atoner, Christians may as well throw their Bibles into the fire, because Jews not only reject Jesus as God, son of God, and vicarious atoner and maybe even as prophet of God but regard him as “bastard,” and regard his mother, Mary, the Christian’s Mother of God, as “adulteress.” (Prophet Mohammad, through Allāh’s Qur’an, repudiated these “Jewish calumnies” against Jesus and his mother. And to know Mohammad is reviled as being the antiChrist).
Allāh did not get His name wrong. Christians need to talk less and use their heads more. Allāh is the proper name of God.
If Allāh is a contraction of al (the) and ilāh (God) as Christians postulate. Then, as “the” “refers to someone or something that is unique or exists as only one at a time <~Lord>” as Webster’s (1976) define. Muslims rest our case: either way –al-ilāh (the God) or Allāh (One God)– the “only one” true God is ALLĀH!
In claiming that “ilah” is a different God from “Allāh”, it is obvious that Christians confuse the usage of the word “Ilah” with “Allāh”. In the Qur’an the word “ilah” (God) is used as the generic “God”: “And your God (Ilah) is one God (ilah); there is no God (ilah) but He! He is the Beneficent, the Merciful”–(Qur’an 2:163 and other places).
Whereas “ilah” is used for the generic “God,” “Allāh” is used to denote the name of God:
-“Surely I am Allāh, there is no God (ilah) but I, so serve Me, and keep up prayer for My remembrance”–(Qur’an 20:14)
-“So We sent among them a messenger from among them, saying: Serve Allāh — you have no God (ilah) other than Him”–Qur’an 23:32)
-“Praise be to Allāh, the Lord (Rabb–Nourisher unto perfection) of the worlds, The Beneficent, the Merciful, Master of the day of Requital”–(Qur’an 1:1-3)
-“I am Allāh, the Seeing. (This is) a Book which We have revealed to you (Mohammad that you may) bring forth men, by their Lord’s (Rabb’s) permission, from utter darkness into light to the way of the Mighty, the praised One”–(Qur’an 14:1)
-“Say (to them, Mohammad): If you love Allāh, follow me: Allāh will love you, and grant you protection from your sins. And Allāh is Forgiving, Merciful”–(Qur’an 3:30)
-“So keep your duty to Allāh as much as you can”–Qur’an 64:16)
-“Then are they sent back to Allāh, their Master, the True one”–(Qur’an 6:62)
-“That is because Allāh, He is the Truth, and He gives life to the dead, and He is Possessor of power over all things, And the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it; and Allāh will raise up those who are in the graves. And among men is he who disputes about Allāh without knowledge, and without guidance, and without an illuminating Book. Turning away haughtily to lead men astray from the way of Allāh. For him is disgrace in this world, and on the day of Resurrection We shall make him taste the punishment of burning”–Qur’an 22:6-9).
Allāh dates back to “earliest Semitic writings” which appeared from “30th century BCE”. No wonder Christian-Arabs know no other God but “Allāh”.
Whether the Qur’an refers to the Creator as ‘ilah” (God) or “Allāh” it means that He/God is the one universal God, ALLĀH!
“Praise be to Allāh,the Lord of the worlds” (Qur’an 1:1).
(For more on Allāh see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allah).
Whereas Christians say Allāh got His name wrong, one-third of the Christian God, the Holy Ghost, has no name!
2. ALLĀH GOT JESUS’ NAME WRONG:
Allāh says Jesus’ name is Isa/Esau.
Christians charge that Isa is not Jesus’ name, therefore Allāh is wrong. That Jesus’ name is Yeshua.
Can Christians show in their oldest Hebrew manuscript that Yeshua was the name given to Jesus?
Regarding Jesus, it is stated:
“Isa is a name originating from a variety of sources. The name is most commonly derived from the classical Arabic عيسى ‘Isa, an Arabic translation of Jesus, itself having a Hebrew origin. However, it is not the only translation; it is most commonly associated with Jesus as depicted in Islam, and thus, commonly used by Muslims. Meanwhile, Arabic-speaking Christians usually use يسوع Yasū‘, which comes from ܝܫܘܥ Yešū‘, the Aramaic name for Jesus, although they use the name Isa too.”
“Yeshua or Y’shua was a common alternative form of the name יְהוֹשֻׁעַ in later books of the Hebrew Bible and among Jews of the Second Temple period. The name corresponds to the Greek spelling Iesous (Ἰησοῦς), from which, through the Latin IESVS/Iesus, comes the English spelling Jesus”–(Wikipedia. Italics added).
How then it is claimed that Allāh got Jesus’ name wrong when “Yeshua or Y’shua was a common alternative form of the name יְהוֹשֻׁעַ in later books of the Hebrew Bible” and “Isa is a name originating from a variety of sources” and “having a Hebrew origin”?
Allāh saying Jesus’ name is Isa/Esau is no error.
3. WRITING A CHAPTER LIKE THAT OF THE QUR’AN:
There are those who say they have written or can write a chapter like that of the Qur’an.
The Qur’an contains 114 chapters with each chapter having a title and begins with the benediction “In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful.” In Qur’an 2:23 Allah invites the doubters: “And if you are in doubt as to that (Qur’an) which We have revealed to Our servant (Mohammad), then produce a chapter like it and call on your helpers besides Allah if you are truthful.”
One who wants to meet this invitation is to choose one of the 114 chapters of the Qur’an and write an original chapter like it, give the chapter a title and benediction.
The atheists and Christians attempt to discredit the authenticity of the Qur’an is useless. If atheists and Christians can prove that Mohammad made prophecies and statements on science of his own accord 1400 years ago and wrote Qur’an; they would have debunked the Qur’an as Divine revelation. (See Qur’an-science).
Prove it!
