JESUS SAVES

“if thou wilt enter life,
KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS
(brought by Moses);”
“except your RIGHTEOUSNESS shall exceed
the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees,
ye shall IN NO CASE enter into the
kingdom of heaven”
 –Jesus–
(Matt. 19:17; 5:20)

It is amusing that whereas Jesus called on and prayed to God; Christians call on and pray to Jesus.

Christians go around chanting the fabled mantra “Jesus saves.”
While Jesus, as other prophets of God, was a vehicle for conveying the injunctions of God to man. Does Jesus “save” or can Jesus save anyone?

NO! JESUS CANNOT SAVE ANYONE? ONLY GOD CAN SAVE!

In Matthew 26:39 and 27:46, respectively, Jesus prayed to GOD to be saved; and he cried in despair to GOD when he believed that GOD had forsaken him:

“O my FATHER (GOD), it be possible,
let this cup (death) pass from me;”
“My GOD, my GOD,
why hast thou FORSAKEN me?”

SUCH SERVILE AND IGNOMINIOUS WORDS DO NOT BEFIT THE LIPS OF ONE WHO “SAVES.” THEY ARE THE WORDS OF ONE WHO WANTS TO BE “SAVED.”

Like in the physical world, Jesus does not save his people (or anyone else) in the Spiritual world. He left the saving of people in the spiritual world to Moses and the Comforter. Jesus tells his people:

“The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that OBSERVE AND DO;”

-“if thou wilt enter life, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS  (brought by Moses);”

-“except your RIGHTEOUSNESS shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall IN NO CASE enter into the kingdom of heaven;”

-“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;” “When he, the Spirit of truth (the Comforter), is come, he will guide you into ALL TRUTH”–Matt. 23:2-3; 19:16-19; 5:20; John 16:13; 14:15-16; 15:26. Notably, as eternal life lies in following the Mosaic Law Jesus-is redundant; NO ONE NEEDS JESUS; and as the Comforter will guide into “all truth” and “abide forever,” the Bible, devoid of “all truth” and perpetuity, is OBSOLETE).

These exhortations by Jesus clearly show that Jesus does NOT save any one: man “saves” himself.

In fact, Jesus made it even clearer when he declared:

-“I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to REPENTANCE” (not to vicarious atonement) –(Matthew 9:13).

-“And when ye stand praying, FORGIVE, if ye have anything against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may FORGIVE you your trespasses, But if you do NOT forgive, NEITHER will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses”–(Mark 11:25-26; Luke 17:3-4).

-“When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven … FORGIVE US OUR SINS; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but DELIVER US FROM EVIL”–(Luke 11:2-4).

-“I tell you…except ye REPENT, ye shall all likewise perish”–(Luke 13:3, 5).

-“I say unto you, there is JOY in the presence of the angels of God over ONE SINNER THAT REPENTETH”–(Luke 15:10).

-“The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation (of Jews) and shall condemn it: because they REPENTED at the preaching of Jonas; and behold, a greater than Jonas is here” (that is to say, the people of Jonas repented but Jews do not repent even though Jesus who is greater than Jonas is preaching to them)–(Matthew 12:41).

That it is GOD only who “saves” is substantiated further by Jesus himself; Jesus says: “fear him (GOD) which is able to destroy BOTH soul and body in hell”–(Matt. 10:28).

And God declares: “I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me THERE IS NO SAVIOUR–(Isaiah 43:11).

Thus, the Christians claim that “Jesus saves” is balderdash!
Jesus was not sent to “save” anyone. Jesus was sent to call “sinners to REPENTANCE.”
By repenting and following the prophet’s teaching MAN SAVES HIMSELF. (See Home).                                                                                          *
