There are instances where the Qur’an differs from the Bible, such as the Bible stating that Jesus was born in a stable/manger whereas Allāh revealed in His Qur’an that Mary had birthing pains by a date-palm (though it is not necessarily so that Mary gave birth by the palm tree)–(Luke 2:7; Qur’an 19:22-23).
In such matters where the Qur’an differs with the Bible, the Christian argues that the Biblical account is to be taken as correct; seeing that the Bible preceded the Qur’an. But age/antiquity is no guarantee of authenticity or accuracy.

Also, Christians make all kinds of fancy claims from the Bible in their effort to prove that Jesus was greater than Mohammad. However, the Bible not only contains “monumental errors” and was “tampered with” as Christians have admitted –a Book from God would not have “errors”– the Books of the Old Testament “were written in several languages over a period of more than nine hundred years, based on oral traditions;” and the Gospels were written more than a hundred years after Jesus; and are “according to” Matthew, Mark, Luke and John –not according to God or Jesus– who “were not eye-witnesses of the data they recorded” and is the King James “Version” not God’s or Jesus’ Version. And, initially Jesus’ teachings were transmitted “orally” and the current four Gospels did not acquire official status until “170 A.D.” (some 140 years after Christ) and not until “excisions” were made from the prevailing “abundance of literature” on Jesus and after numerous other “Gospels were suppressed.”

So unless Christians have the original HEBREW text of the Old Testament and the original HEBREW or ARAMAIC text (as Jesus was said to have spoken Aramaic) of the Gospels to support their claims their submissions are useless. Judge Julie would not blink twice to throw such “hearsay” materials and its submitter(s) out of Court.

JESUS AND MOHAMMAD
CURES & WAR

   1. One of the arguments used by Christians as proof that Jesus was greater than the Prophet Mohammad is that Jesus fought no war whereas Mohammad fought wars.

(And how do you know Jesus did not fight any war[s]? The Gospels record Jesus at his birth; at his circumcision at eight days old; at the age of twelve arguing with the Jewish Elders at the temple; and then again at the age of thirty being baptized by John the Baptist. So where was Jesus for these 18 missing years?
It is rather mind-boggling that after all the fanfare of angels coming all the way from heaven to sing at his birth and
three wise men travelling in cold winter weather some five hundred miles from Persia/Iran to Palestine to bring him gold, frankincense, and myrrh there is not a syllable recorded of this God and son of God for a staggering eighteen years.
Luke says that the child “waxed strong.” But where did this Christians’ God and son of God “waxed” strong for these eighteen years? in his father’s carpenter’s shop making Trojan horses or was he fighting as a mercenary someplace or busy slaughtering all his enemies who did not want him to rule [Luke 19:27] or was this Christians’ God and son of God still busy eating butter and honey in the bush so that he may know to distinguish between good and evil [Isaiah 7:14-15] or was this Christians’ God and son of God taking lessons from the Hindu priests in Kashmir on how to heal and cure?).

Jesus may not have fought any war(s) but there is nothing docile or pacifistic about the leader who tells his followers to sell their coats and buy swords and to slay his enemies who did not want him to rule over them.

That Jesus did not fight a war is no distinction; Buddha, Guru Nanak, and Baha’ullah did not fight either.  The greatest man must fight wars of justice.

Except for the trumped up charge against Jesus, Jesus was not pushed into war: he was not persecuted; besieged; under the shadow of the assassin; forced into exile; and pursued. Even if he was his disciples, who were always doubting and was of little and no faith and always forsaking him and fleeing, were hardly military material.

Jesus was a realist as is evident in the garden of Gethsemane when the soldiers came to arrest him; telling his disciples to put away their swords (though he had instructed them to buy swords and to stand guard to protect him as he prayed).

Jesus saying those who take up the sword would perish by the sword was no philosophy,it was fact-of-the-moment; their “two” novice swords against a band of military-skilled swordsmen were instant death; what Jesus was saying is: if you take up the sword we being out-sworded they will shred us.
Jesus was being practical.

Jesus booted the money-changers and bird-sellers from the temple; ordered his enemies be slain; that he came not to send peace on earth but a sword and fire and division; and instructed his followers to sell their coats and buy swords.

These are not the words and actions of a pacifist or non-violent individual. And yet Jesus had no military power. Imagine the carnage if this Christian’s God and son of God had military capability.

Though Jesus did not fight directly in a war, compared to the five or so defensive wars Mohammad fought to end persecution and the conservative number of casualties of these wars, Jesus, according to Christians that he is God, and as Biblical prophets obeyed the dictates of God, Jesus was instrumental in the bloodiest episodes in Scriptural history: Jesus was complicit in all the wars and killings –from Moses, Joshua, Saul, Gideon, David, to Solomon– where not even the “ox, and sheep, and ass” were spared the “edge of the sword”–(Deut; 7:1-2; Josh. 10:40, 12:6).

As Prof. Abdul Ahad Dawud B.D. –“the former Reverend David Benjamin Keldani, B.D., a Roman Catholic priest of the Uniate-Chaldean sect”– points out in his revealing book Muhammad in the Bible:

“all the blood shed in the wars of Badr, Ohud, and other campaigns led personally by the Prophet Muhammad, could not exceed one-hundredth of the blood shed by Joshua. Yet not a single instance of cruelty or injustice can be proved against the Apostle of Allāh. He was clement, noble, magnanimous, and forgiving.”

After all, the Christians’ God “Jesus” “is a man of war”: “The Lord is a MAN OF WAR: the Lord is his name”–(Ex. 15:3).

Moreover, whereas Mohammad only took war captives and then either ransomed them or set them free (which was the course he generally took) the Christian’s God, Jesus, had all the males and matron women killed and had the little “virgin” girls taken as sex slaves:

“Then the Lord spake unto Moses, saying…
And they warred against the Midianites, as the Lord commanded Moses, and they slew
ALL THE MALES….
And they brought the
CAPTIVES and the prey and the spoil to Moses, and Eleazar…
And Moses said unto them…Now therefore kill every
MALE among the LITTLE ONES (of the captives), and kill EVERY WOMAN who hath known man by lying with him, but ALL THE WOMEN CHILDREN, that have not known a man by lying with him (virgin girls)
KEEP ALIVE FOR YOURSELVES…..
(
To know if these little girls were virgins, the Israelites would have had to physically examine them -give them the finger, so to speak; and as Jesus is said to be God, this is what Jesus allowed).
And the Lord spake unto to Moses, saying, Take the sum of the PREY (BOOTY) that was taken, both of MAN and of beast, thou and Eleazar…And divide the PREY into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation And LEVY A TRIBUTE UNTO THE LORD….
And the
BOOTY, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught was 675,000 sheep, 72,000 cattle, and 61,000 asses, and of WOMEN that had not known man by lying with him (virgin girls), were 32,000. And the half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was 337,500 sheep; 36,000 cattle, 30,500 asses, and 16,000 persons (virgin girls. And of the congregation’s half portion of these 16.000 virgin girls, 320 were given to the Levite priests, as “the Lord commanded Moses.” And the LORD’S TRIBUTE (of the (booty) was 675 sheep; 72 cattle; 61 donkeys; and 32 persons ….the men of war had taken SPOIL (BOOTY), EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF”–(Numbers 31:1-53). (See
Christianity-sex slaves & prepubescent girls).

About Israelites taking little “virgin” girls as war booty, the Answering Islam apologist wrote (on the Internet):

“Muslims often point to Numbers 31:17-18 to show how the Holy Bible permits the raping of young girls.” Numbers 17-18 states: “The LORD said to Moses, ‘Avenge the people of Israel on the Mid’ianites; … They warred against Mid’ian, as the LORD commanded Moses, and slew every male…Moses said to them (his commanders), ‘Have you let all the women live? Behold, these caused the people of Israel, by the counsel of Balaam, to act treacherously against the LORD in the matter of Pe’or, and so the plague came among the congregation of the LORD. Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him. But all the young girls who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.”

The Answering Islam Christian critic states: “God commanded the Israelites to take vengeance on the Midianites, as well as the Moabites, for leading Israel into committing idolatry and sexual immorality:” “God spared the young girls as an act of mercy since they did-n’t partake of the sins of the other women who lured the Israelites into committing sexual immorality, thereby angering God. Yet the Lord didn’t have to spare them and could have easily demanded that they too be des-troyed with the rest. After all, from God’s perspective all flesh is born sinful which means that it is inevitable that all humans turn out to be rebel sinners who will grow up to defy God: Thus, the foregoing conclusively shows that Numbers 31 did not permit the Israelite men to spare the young virgin girls so as to rape them. They were commanded to spare them as an act of mercy since they did not share in the guilt of enticing Israel into commit-ting sexual immorality.” (Highlight added).

Response: So the little boys and male infants were not deserving of the “act of mercy,” they also were guilty of “leading Israel into committing idolatry and sexual im-morality:” (???) Is this how the Christian’s God gives justice? These “every male among the little ones” could have been kept and reared as soldiers or laborers (and men were more needed to fight wars).

And why not keep all the young girls also who had lain with men; why only the virgins? Isn’t it possible that there were mature women who had not lain with men? And how did these men know that some of these young girls had “not known man by lying with him” (they would have had to physically examine these girls and women; or they only assumed and slaughtered left right and centre and even killing innocent girls and women).

And since “from God’s perspective all flesh is born sinful which means that it is inevitable that all humans turn out to be rebel sinners who will grow up to defy God,” why then fault people when God, as Christians’ claim, loaded Adam’s sin onto them and they were Divinely destined to commit evil? And there was no “blood” of Christ then to free them. In fact, every non-Israelite of the time should have been killed to prevent them from “inevitable” becoming “rebel sinners’ and “defy God.” Evidently, the Christian’s God is not only unjust (loading Adam’s sin onto everyone) but also ty-rannical (made people into “inevitable” “rebel sinners” and then killing them for being “sinners”). (Welcome to Allāh the God Who created everyone in a pure nature and forgives all sins).A

That these “virgin” girls were kept for sex is enshrined in the ending words of the verse which clearly says to “keep (them) alive for YOURSELVES.(And as Chris-tians say Jesus is God, it was Jesus who commanded that these little virgin girls be taken as sex slaves).

(Answering Islam charges against Islam and the Prophet have already been debunked).

   2. Christians also opine that whereas Jesus gave his disciples authority to drive out evil spirits, to heal disease and sickness,1 Mohammad gave his followers the authority to wage war on unbelievers and to be ruthless to them.2

(It is rather intriguing that Jesus raised the literal dead considering that “it is appointed unto men ONCE TO DIE, but after this the judgment;” which would mean that the dead Christ raised would have died twice [and was even resurrected without receiving “judgment”] contradicting the Bible.–Hebrews 9:27).

So how many diseased and sick did Jesus’ disciples heal? And non-Christians also do certain healing and cast out evil spirits, and Jesus didn’t give them “authority.”

Modern medicine, which may have been developed by atheists, also heal many diseases. Modern man, who may be atheists, also clone the species, which Jesus and his disciples did not do. Would you say that these scientists/doctors are greater than Jesus and his disciples?

Whereas healing the physically impaired is admirable (which even false Christs and false prophets can do as Jesus says3) Mohammad freed us of our moral, social, and mental cankers –drunkenness, gambling, profligacy; backwardness and stagnation; the irrationality of polytheism and the futility and degradation of idolatry– and brought the world to our feet and eternity to our arms:

See you not that Allāh has made
subservient to you whatever is in the heavens
and whatever is in the earth,
and granted to you His favours
complete outwardly and inwardly?”
(which subservience can be effected
only through knowledge):
“and say: My Lord, increase me in knowledge”
(Qur’an 31:20; 20:114); 4

-“Surely the men who submit
and the women who submit,
and the believing men and the believing women,
and the obeying men and the obeying women,
and the truthful men and the truthful women,
and the patient men and the patient women,
and the humble men and the humble women,
and the charitable men and the charitable women,
and the fasting men and the fasting women,
and the men who guard their chastity
and the women who guard,
and the men who remember Allāh much
and women who remember —
Allāh has prepared for them
forgiveness and a mighty reward”
(Qur’an 33:35);

-“And whoever does good deeds,
whether male or FEMALE, and he (or she)
is a believer –these will enter the Garden,
and they will NOT be dealt with a whit unjustly”
Qur’an 4:124)

“Enter the garden,
you and your WIVES, being made happy;”
“Surely the owners of the Garden are
on that day in a happy occupation.
They and their WIVES are in shades,
reclining on raised couches”
(Qur’an 43:70; 36:56).

“And those who believe and
whose off-spring follow them in faith
–We unite them with their offspring
and We shall deprive them of naught of their work.
Every man is pledged for his work”
Qur’an 52:21)

Mohammad also taught us about medicines–(Bokhari Vol. 7).

That Mohammad gave his followers the authority to wage war on unbelievers and to be ruthless to them.

-Wasn’t Jesus ruthless on his enemies who did not want him to rule, commanding that they be brought to him and slain? (even though these enemies might not militate against him; in contrast to Mohammad’s enemies who for twenty-three years engaged in all forms of machinations to kill him)–(Luke 19:27).

-Wasn’t Jesus ruthless against those parents and children between whom he set “division” and “hate”?:
“Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth, Nay; but rather DIVISION: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; and the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law;”
“If any man come to me, and
HATE NOT his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple”–(Luke 12:51:53; 14:26).
And these parents and family did not do anything against Jesus.

-Wasn’t Jesus ruthless to the world in sending it fire and sword and division: “I am come to send FIRE on the earth;” “Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth, Nay; but rather DIVISION;” “Think NOT that I am come to send peace on earth: I came NOT to send peace, but a SWORD”–(Luke 12:49, 51-53; Matt. 10:34). And the world did not do anything against Jesus.

What would you do should someone, even with justification, come to kill you and or your family? would you let them? only a fool would. Not even the savage beast would allow it to himself.

Jesus was not forced into war. Mohammad was forced into war –the enemy, without justification, persecuted him, besieged him, tried to assassinate, forced him into exile, pursued, and made war on him.

If you think Mohammad shouldn’t have fought back in self- defense tell this to the Allies of World War II and to Britain (for going against Argentina) and America for chasing after Saddam Hussein and Talibans (though Saddam Hussein and Talibans did not transgress against America and/or Allies).

Regarding Qur’an 48:29, this verse states: Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those with him are firm of heart against the disbelievers,  compassionate among themselves …” To which   Muhammad Ali explains:
Ashidda’ is plural of shadid, which means firm, strong, powerful, as well as brave, firm of heart (LA, Q, LL). Shiddat, the root word, also signifies firmness of heart (T). The translation fierce, or vehement, adopted in English translations, is not correct here. The Muslims stood firm against the disbelievers but they were never fierce or hard in their treatment towards them.”

Allāh instructs the Prophet Mohammad in His Qur’an 9:6:“And if anyone of the idolaters seek thy protection, protect him till he hears the word of Allah, then convey him to his place of safety. This is because they are a people who know not.” To which Muhammad Ali comments:
“This verse leaves no doubt that the Prophet was never ordered to kill anyone on account of his religion. “You shall give him a safe conduct that he may return home again securely in case he shall not think fit to embrace Muhammadanism” (Sale).”
Clearly, it is not ruthlessness to protect and teach the idolater and return him home safely; it is “mercy.”

Again, Allāh instructs the Prophet in Qur’an 39:53: to convey to us: “Say, O My servants who have sinned against their souls, despair not of the mercy of Allāh; surely Allāh forgives all sins. Verily, He is Most Forgiving, Ever Merciful” (notably, believers as well as disbelievers are servants of Allah).

It is not “ruthlessness” to implore sinners to forgiveness of all of their sins, and moreover to implore sinners in loving, com-passionate terms; it is “mercy.” In fact, it is not only “mercy” but also love. (Allāh loves us. Allāh wants to guide us. Allāh wants us to be pure. Allāh wants us to have a life in Paradise).

Verses of the Qur’an are to be taken in their perspective.

Like other prophets who were a mercy to their people, the Prophet Mohammad was a mercy to his people, Arabs –who were the last people to receive a prophet– as well as a mercy to the entire world–(Qur’an 29:46; 32:3; 36:6; 7:158; 21:107; 34:28).

Part of the Prophet’s mission was to enlighten the people to the futility and degradation of idolatry and the irrationality of polytheism. (See Polytheism and Monotheism).

The Prophet’s mission was only to preach the Divine Message–(Qur’an 3:20; 10:99; 64:12); the people were free to accept or reject this Message–(Qur’an 2:256; 6:107; 9:6; 10:99-100; 17:7; 18:6, 29; 42:15; 50:45; 76:3; 109:1-6).

The Arabs not only rejected the Divine Message, they perse-cuted Mohammad, besieged him, tried to assassinate him, forced him into exile, pursued him, and made war on him. Thus, they became “ruthless” on Mohammad.

In consequence, the Believers became “ruthless” against the “disbelievers” because the disbelievers were “ruthless” against the Believers –they are the ones who first took up the sword, and without justification, to annihilate the Believers.

Notably, Muslims were “ruthless” only against those who wan-ted to annihilate them. Allāh requires Muslims to not even let hatred cause us to transgress; and for us to give justice even if it is against our own selves:

And let not hatred of a people — because they hindered you from the Sacred Mosque — incite you to transgress. And help one another in righteousness and piety, and help not one another in sin and aggression, and keep your duty to Allāh. Surely Allāh is Severe in requiting (evil)” (Qur’an 5:3).

“O you who believe, be upright for Allāh, bearers of witness with justice; and let not hatred of a people incite you not to act equitably. Be just; that is nearer to observance of duty. And keep your duty to Allāh. Surely Allāh is Aware of what you do” (5:8).

“O you who believe, be maintainers of justice, bearers of witness for Allāh, even though it be against your own selves or (your) parents or near relatives — whether he be rich or poor, Allāh has a better right over them both. So follow not (your) low desires, lest you deviate. And if you distort or turn away from (truth), surely Allāh is ever Aware of what you do”–(4:135).

That Mohammad was “hard” on the disbelievers only in re-pelling their wars and was “never fierce or hard” in his treatment of them is evidenced from the fact that Mohammad prayed for his dead enemy, saying: “if I knew that if I asked forgiveness for him more than seventy times, he would be forgiven, I would ask it for more times than that”–(Qur’an 9:84, 113. Bokhari Vol. 6, #193, 194).

And upon his triumph at Makkah he forgave his rabid enemies of twenty-three grueling years: “It is related that the Prophet took hold of the two sides of the gate of the Ka’ba on the day of the conquest of Makkah and said to the Quraish: How do you think I should treat you? They said: We hope for good, a noble brother and the son of a noble brother. Then he said: I say as my brother Joseph said: “No reproof be against you this day” (Rz).”
No inquisition. No incrimination. No confession. No rancor. Only lofty words of benevolence and nobility–“No reproof be against you this day.”5
Such was the expanse of the mercy and benevolence of this wonderful man, Mohammad.

Mohammad even forgave the horrid Hind. The woman who is said to have cut open the body of his uncle, Hamza, as he lay dying on the battlefield and ripped out his liver and chewed it.6

Strikingly, God and the Biblical prophets were “ruthless” against the disbelievers:

-The Biblical God (and as Christians say that Jesus is God, Jesus) was “ruthless” on Pharaoh and his entourage and merciful to the Israelites. (God was also “ruthless” on the Israelites, and even onto the innocent fourth generation, when they became rebellious and provocative against Him –much as the idolatrous Arabs became rebellious and provocative against Him through Mohammad– having them wander in the wilderness for forty years till their carcasses were wasted–(Num. 14:1-35).

-The Biblical God (and as Christians say that Jesus is God, Jesus) was “ruthless” on more than three dozen mischievous children, sending bears to tear them:
“And he (Elisha) went up from thence to Bethel…there came forth
LITTLE CHILDREN…and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up thou BALD HEAD…And he (Elisha) turned back, and looked at them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth TWO SHE BEARS out of the wood, and TARE FORTY AND TWO CHILDREN of them”–(2 Kings 2:22-24).

-The Biblical God (and as Christians say that Jesus is God, Jesus) was “ruthless” on Jeshurun and his children for going after false gods:
“But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked…
They provoked him (God) to jealousy with strange gods…
And when the Lord saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. And he (God) said…I will heap
MISCHIEFS upon them; I will spend my ARROWS upon them….I will also send the TEETH OF BEASTS upon them, with the POISON OF SERPENTS of the dust. The SWORD without, and TERROR within, shall destroy both the YOUNG MAN and the VIRGIN, the SUCKLING also with the MAN OF GRAY HAIRS” –(Deut. 32:15-25. This must be the mother of all terrorism!).

-The Biblical God (and as Christians say that Jesus is God, Jesus) was “ruthless” against the disbelievers and merciful to the Israelites; fighting for them; commanding the Israelites to do to the people whose land they were going to possess:
thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them, thou shalt make no covenant with them, NOR SHEW MERCY UNTO THEM”–(Deut. 7:1-2. See Josh. 12:1-6).
“And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and
SMITE the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the LORD YOUR GOD hath delivered them into your hand;”
“And afterward Joshua
SMOTE them” “So Joshua SMOTE all the country….as the LORD GOD of Israel commanded….because the LORD GOD of Israel FOUGHT FOR ISRAEL”–(Josh. 10:19, 24, 26, 40-42; 6:21. Read Josh. Chs. 10-12; Num. 21:24, 35; 31:17-18; Deut. 20:16-17; 1 Sam. 15:2-3, for slaughters by Joshua, Moses, and Saul).

-The Biblical God (and as Christians say that Jesus is God, Jesus) was “ruthless” even on the infant and fetus: “Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath REBELLED against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their INFANTS SHALL BE DASHED IN PIECES, and their WOMEN WITH CHILD SHALL BE RIPPED UP”–(Hosea 13:16).

-Moses and Joshua were “ruthless” against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves –against the some thirty “ites” kingdoms they invaded, and against the little males and matron females and cattle that they slaughtered, as well as on the little virgin girls the Israelites were, as already noted, given as sex slaves.

“When the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it…thou shalt SMITE THEM, and UTTERLY DESTROY THEM, thou shalt MAKE NO COVENANT with them, NOR SHOW MERCY UNTO THEM”–(Deut. 7:1-2. See Josh. 12:1-6).

“And stay ye not, but PURSUE AFTER YOUR ENEMIES, and SMITE THE HINDMOST OF THEM; SUFFER THEM NOT TO ENTER INTO THEIR CITIES: for the LORD YOUR GOD hath delivered them into your hand;”
“and Joshua called for all the men of Israel…Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings…
And afterward
JOSHUA SMOTE THEM, and SLEW THEM, and HANGED THEM on five trees.”
“So Joshua
SMOTE ALL THE COUNTRY of the hills, and of the south, and of the vale, and of the springs, and ALL THEIR KINGS: HE LEFT NONE remaining, but UTTERLY DESTROYED ALL THAT BREATHED, as the LORD GOD of Israel commanded…
And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because the
LORD GOD of Israel fought for Israel;” “And they UTTERLY DESTROYED ALL that was in the city, both MAN AND WOMAN, YOUNG AND OLD, AND OX, AND SHEEP, AND ASS, with the EDGE OF THE SWORD”–(Joshua 10:19, 24, 26, 40-42; 6:21. Read Joshua chs. 10-12; Numbers 21:24, 35; 31:17-18; Deut. 20:16-17; 1 Sam. 15:2-3, for slaughters by Joshua, Moses, and Saul).

Notably, unlike the Arab idolaters who persecuted Mohammad, tried to assassinate him, forced him into exile, pursued him and warred against him, these little males and matrons and virgin girls and cattle did not take up arms against Moses and Joshua for Moses and Joshua to be on them.

Jesus (the Christian’s son of God and even God as Christians say that Jesus is God) was “ruthless” against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves. Labeling non-Jews as “dogs” and “swine” and preaching in parables so these “dogs” and “swine” would not understand and be saved:

   -“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine”–(Matt. 7:6; 15:26);

-And after relating the parable of the sower to the people Jesus said to them:
“He that hath ears to hear, let him hear;” and, afterwards, when he (Jesus) was alone with the Israelites they asked him about the meaning of the parable:
“And he said unto them, Unto you (who have God) it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them (non-Jews) that are without (God), all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and
NOT PERCEIVE; and hearing they may hear, and NOT UNDERSTAND; LEST AT ANY TIME THEY SHOULD BE CONVERTED, AND THEIR SINS SHOULD BE FORGIVEN THEM”–(Mark 4:9-12)

–the Good News Bible put it even more clearly: “You have been given the secret of the Kingdom of God,” Jesus answered. “But the others, who are on the outside, hear all things by means of parables, so that, ‘They may look and look, yet NOT SEE; they may listen and listen, yet NOT UNDERSTAND. FOR IF THEY DID, THEY WOULD TURN TO GOD, AND HE WOULD FORGIVE THEM.’”

In other words though the non-Jews (who may be sincere seekers of God) have the faculties of sight and hearing and can see and hear, he (Jesus) spoke in parables so that they would not understand his words because he did not want them to accept God and have their sins forgiven.
What a ghastly horribly sickening thing to do. As prophet, Jesus could not turn away anyone; this is why he indulged non-Jews; but he could avoid them, which he did, as is evident from his admonition to his disciples not to preach to non-Jews, and from his speaking in parables so that they would not understand.

This statement by Jesus also proves that Jesus did NOT come to save sinners. Jesus’ mission was wholly and solely to the Jews. (See Jesus-only for Jews. Please note: This is the Biblical/Christian’s Jesus. For the Muslim’s Jesus read the Qur’an).

-Jesus was “ruthless” on the people of Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum for not heeding him–(Matt, 11:20-24. And these people were not “ruthless” on Jesus; they only did not believe in him).

-Jesus was “ruthless” even on the stubborn Jews, labeling them as “serpents” and “vipers,” “evil and adulterous,” and consigning them to the greater damnation of hell–(Matt. 12:34, 39; 23:33).

-Jesus was “ruthless” on the bird-sellers and moneychangers: booting them out of the temple–(Matt. 21:12).

-Jesus was “ruthless” also on people who were not with him: “He that is not with me is against me”; (and a person can be neutral)–(Matt. 12:30. Again, these people was/is not “ruthless” on Jesus; they only did/do not believe in him).

-Jesus was “ruthless” to those against his rule, and all the way to the Resurrection, commanding that they all be slain: “But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me” (and a person can be against Jesus’ rule and yet not militate against him; and thus they would not be against him)–(Luke 19:27. Perhaps these are the verses from which the Popes took their inspiration for their murderous crusades.
If these two last declarations of Jesus were to be enforced some six billion people of the world who does not accept Jesus as Divine or as vicarious atoner would have to be slaughtered.
Non-Christians, and even some Christians, need to go down on their hands and knees and foreheads and thank Allāh, God, that Jesus/Christianity is not lording over them or lording any place. For a comparison between Jesus/Christian rule and Islamic rule see
Jesus or Mohammad-best system).

As noted, Mohammad was/is a “mercy” to the entire world. And though Mohammad was “hard” on the disbelievers that does not mean he was devoid of mercy for them.

When the disbelievers gave up their “hardness” against Mo-hammad mercy was extended to them –much like parents giving “tough love” to a destructive child to reform him; when the child reforms his behavior he is again given “soft love;” the parents have both qualities of mercy and sternness; exercising either as the situation necessitates.

However, as shown, the Prophet and Muslims“were never fierce or hard in their treatment towards” the disbelievers.

Mohammad being “hard” against the disbelievers was the direct result of the disbelievers being “harder” on Mohammad.   Mohammad was fully justified for being “hard” against the disbelievers who wanted to annihilate him –persecuted him; besieged him, tried to assassinate him, forced him into exile, pursued him and made war on him. (See also Islam-and torture).

Paramountly, as Muhammad Ali points out the verse does NOT say that Mohammad and Muslims were “ruthless” but that they were “firm, strong, powerful, as well as brave, firm of heart” and that “The translation fierce, or vehement, adopted in English translations, is not correct here. The Muslims stood firm against the disbelievers but they were never fierce or hard in their treatment towards them.”

The history of the Prophet is testimony that Mohammad was not “ruthless” to his enemies. (Muhammad Ali’s translation of the Qur’an can be viewed online: www.muslim.org).

4. There is no such designation as “secular” knowledge in Islam. All knowledge is from Allāh–(Qur’an 96:1-5; 55:1-4). Knowledge is grou-ped into two categories: material and spiritual. Muslims are to seek both.
