JESUS-PRINCE OF PEACE

Jesus says: “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God”–(Matthew 5:9).

Thus Russian premier Mikhail Gorbachev who made peace (“détente”) with America is a “Son of God,” and my uncle who made peace between warring family members is a “Son of God.”

As prophet of God Jesus was expected to promote “peace” but according to the Gospels while Jesus preached peace he himself did not practice “peace:” Jesus bequeathed to the family and the world a legacy of hate and division and fire and sword:

-“I am come to send FIRE on the earth”–(Luke 12:49).

-Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth, Nay; but rather DIVISION: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; and the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law”–(Luke 12:51-53).
(This division is not theological. Jesus is specific about this division: “three against two, and two against three”; “father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother.” this is not necessarily so in theology; they can all share the same belief. Moreover, Jesus is definitive about who and how many will be “divided” against the other, this is sheer absurdity. Be it theology or secularity people can be of the same or different persuasion and be either civil or antagonistic to each other).

-“For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me”–(Matthew 10:35-37).

-“Think NOT that I am come to send peace on earth: I came NOT to send peace, but a SWORD”–(Matthew 10:34).

-“If any man come to me, and HATE NOT his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple”–(Luke 14:26).

-“He that is not with me is against me” (and a person can be neutral)–(Matthew 12:30).

-“But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me” (though the enemies might not militate against him)–(Luke 19:27). If these sayings of Jesus in Matthew 12:30 and Luke 19:27 were to be implemented more than five billion people of the world that do not accept Jesus as Divine and vicarious atoner, as Christians say he was, would be slaughtered.

And as Christians say Jesus is God then “Jesus” “is a man of war”: “The Lord is a MAN OF WAR: the Lord is his name”–(Exo-dus 15:3).

It is strange then that Christians should claim the Jesus is “Prince of peace.”

In contrast, it is the Prophet MOHAMMAD, through instructions from Allāh, Godthat preached and practiced “peace”:

“Surely Allåh commands you to make over trusts to those worthy of them, and that when you judge between people, you judge with justice. Surely Allåh admonishes you with what is excellent. Surely Allåh is ever Hearing, Seeing”

“O you who believe, be maintainers of justice, bearers of witness for Allåh, even though it be against your own selves or (your) parents or near relatives — whether he be rich or poor, Allåh has a better right over them both. So follow not (your) low desires, lest you deviate. And if you distort or turn away from (truth), surely Allåh is ever Aware of what you do”

“O you who believe, be upright for Allåh, bearers of witness with justice; and let not hatred of a people incite you not to act equitably. Be just; that is nearer to observance of duty. And keep your duty to Allåh. Surely Allåh is Aware of what you do”–(Qur’an 4:58, 135; 5:8)

“And let not hatred of a people — because they hindered you from the Sacred Mosque — incite you to transgress. And help one another in righteousness and piety, and help not one another in sin and aggression, and keep your duty to Allåh”–(Qur’an 5:2).

“For everyone of you We appointed a law and a way. And if Allåh had pleased He would have made you a single people, but that He might try you in what He gave you. So vie one with another in virtuous deeds. To Allåh you will all return, so He will inform you of that wherein you differed”

“And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your tongues and colours. Surely there are signs in this for the learned.”

“O mankind, surely We have created you from a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other. Surely the noblest of you with Allåh is the most dutiful of you. Surely Allåh is Knowing, Aware”–(5:48 (22:67); 30:22; 49:13)

“And if they incline to peace, incline thou also to it…. And if they intend to deceive thee, then surely Allāh is sufficient for thee”–(Qur’an 8:61-62).

“And if you take your turn, then punish with the like of that with which you were afflicted. But if you show patience, it is certainly best for the patient”

“And those who, when great wrong afflicts them, defend themselves. And the recompense of evil is punishment like it; but whoever forgives and amends, his reward is with Allåh. Surely He loves not the wrongdoers.

“And whoever defends himself after his being oppressed, these it is against whom there is no way (of blame).”

“The way (of blame) is only against those who oppress men and revolt in the earth unjustly. For such there is a painful chastisement.

And whoever is patient and forgives — that surely is an affair of great resolution”–(16:126; 42:39-43);

“And thy Lord has decreed that you serve none but Him, and do good to parents. And if either or both of them reach old age with thee, say not “Fie” to them, nor chide them, and speak to them a generous word”

“And We have enjoined on man concerning his parents –his mother bears him with faintings upon faintings and his weaning takes two years– saying: Give thanks to Me and to thy parents. To Me is the eventual coming”–(Qur’an 17:23; 31:14)

And Allāh, God, has ordained mercy on Himself and he implores us in loving compassionate terms to forgive us our sins –no injustice of suffering the innocent for the guilty or needing human blood sacrifice to forgive sins:

“Say: To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth? Say: To Allåh. He has ordained mercy on Himself. He will certainly gather you on the Resur-rection day — there is no doubt about it. Those who have lost their souls will not believe”–(Qur’an 6:12 (54)

“Say, O My servants who have sinned against their souls, despair not of the mercy of Allāh; surely Allāh forgives all sins. Verily, He is Most Forgiving, Ever Merciful”–Qur’an 39:53).
