JESUS–TRANSFIGURATION
Bible authorities explain the Transfiguration to be “the glorified change in the appearance of Jesus on the mountain in the presence of three of His disciples (Matt. 17; Mark 9), having the effect of impressing them with His Divine nature and convincing them that he was sent by God the Father.”1
Five hundred years before Jesus Christ, Buddha was “Transfigured” on mount Pandava in Ceylon:
““On one occasion towards the end of his life on earth, Gautama Buddha is reported to have been transfigured. When on a mountain in Ceylon, suddenly a flame of light descended upon him and encircled the crown of his head with a circle of light. The mount is called Pandava, or yellow-white colour. It is said that ‘the glory of his person shone forth with double power,’ that his body was ‘glorious as a bright golden image,’ that he ‘shone as the brightness of the sun and moon,’ that bystanders expressed their opinion, that he could not be ‘an everyday person,’ or ‘a mortal man,’ and that his body was divided into three parts, from each of which a ray of light issued forth.”” 2

If Jesus is God as Christians claim, who then “transfigured” Jesus? God “transfigured” Himself? God needs to be transfigured? Why does God need to impress men/disciples?
And if Jesus’ “transfiguration’ was intended to have “the effect of impressing them (his disciples) with His Divine nature and convincing them that he was sent by God the Father,” it was clearly an exercise in futility. For soon after this stupendous spectacle Jesus was condemning them as being “faithless and perverse,” and of “unbelief” –Matthew 17:17-20). (And even after witnessing Jesus’ miracles).
According to the Gospel writers (who were NOT eyewitnesses of the account they penned, see Bible corrupt & obsolete), at this transfiguration of Jesus, “there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus….. While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased. Listen to Him!”–(Matthew 17:1-13).
One Christian quarter opines that the appearance of Moses and Elijah symbolizes the Law and the Prophets, and God’s voce saying “Listen to Him! (Jesus)” shows that the Law and the Prophets must give way to Jesus –Jesus is replacing the old; he is the fulfillment of the Law and the countless prophecies foretold in the Old Testament. And his glorified form was a preview of Jesus’ coming glorification and enthronement as King of kings and Lord of lords.
That “a voice” from the cloud said, “This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased. Listen to Him!”
It is rather strange that this “A” voice is taken to be God’s, considering Jesus, who Christians worship as God/Son of God, says about God: “Ye have NEITHER heard his voice at ANY TIME, nor seen his shape”–(John 5:37).
(Perhaps Satan was having more fun with the Christian’s God/Son of God, as he had earlier, as the hear-saying Gospel writers said, tempting him in the wilderness–Matthew 4; Mark 1:12-13; Luke 4. God/Son of God needs angels to “minister unto him”? Even though he has all power in heaven and in earth?–Matthew 11:27; 28:18)
And God has battalions of Sons and daughters. Some of these sons even came from heaven to husband human daughters: “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives all of which they chose”–(Genesis 6:1-2.
Strangely, Jesus conveys that spirits do not have sex -the resurrected person is spiritualized like the angels–Matthew 22:23-30; Luke 20:34-36. Thus these heavenly sons of God must also be “spirit.” How then can these “spirit” sons of God have sex with mortal women?)
Interestingly, whereas Matthew had nothing to say about what Jesus, Moses and Elias were “talking” about, Luke conveys that they talked of Jesus’ “decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem”–(Luke 9:31).
But as evidenced by the Bible including Jesus himself (and as Allāh revealed in Qur’an 4:157) Jesus did not “decease” at Jerusalem.
- Jesus prayed to be spared from death-(Matt; 26:36-44); his prayers were answered-(Heb. 5:7); prayers of the righteous are always answered–(James 5:16; Psalm 22:24; 34:15-19; John 9:31; Matthew 7:8-9); God always answered Jesus’ prayers–(John 11:41-42).
Allāh God says about Jesus: “they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them”–(Qur’an 4:157). Jesus only seemed dead. This is how God answered his prayers and saved him. In those days no one checked for pulses, if you’re limp you’re dead.
Even Jesus’ followers, upon removing Jesus from the cross/pole must have realized he was not dead, for they took “spices and ointments” to “anoint” him–Mark 16:1; Luke 23:56; 24:1. For as Ahmed Deedat points out Jews do NOT anoint their “dead”.
- Angels said Jesus was “alive,” not resurrected or risen–(Luke 24:23);
- The Apostles treated the news of Jesus’ resurrection as “idle tales”–(Luke 24:11. If the crucifixion and resurrection were prophecies, the Apostles would not have treated the resurrection as “idle tales”);
- Jesus said his sign would be like Jonas, as Jonas was alive in the whale’s belly so he shall be–(Matt. 12:39-40; Jonah 1:17; 2:1-10; if Jesus came to die for sins there was no need for his sign to be like Jonas’); if Jesus was killed/crucified his sign would not have been like Jonas’.
Even if we take Jesus’ sign to refer to time (three days and three nights) rather than to status (that he would be alive) he is unlike Jonas. Jesus’ alleged crucifixion was on Friday afternoon and alleged resurrection on Sunday morning (Jewish Sabbath is on Saturdays); this would put Jesus in the earth two nights and one and a half days –Friday and Saturday nights, and half-a-day Friday and all day Saturday.
Jesus told the thief on the cross beside him, “To-day shalt thou be with me in Paradise”–Luke 23:43. If Jesus went to Paradise “To day” (the day of his alleged crucifixion) he could not have gone into the earth/tomb: Paradise is not in the earth/tomb).
- After the alleged crucifixion and resurrection Jesus had his disciples examine him to verify he was not spirit, as the resurrected is, but was of flesh and bones: a mortal–(Luke 24:38-39). The resurrected “are (spiritualized) as the angels”–(Matt. 22:23-30. Luke 20:34-36). Jesus had flesh and bones: he was human.
So who is wrong that Jesus would “decease” at Jerusalem, Moses and Elias or God and Jesus? (For more on this, and the Church knows that Jesus was not killed/crucified, see Jesus-inherited sin to ascension).
That Jesus was fulfillment of the old Law.
True. Prophethood and Kingship to Israelite was decreed by God to end with the advent of the Prophet Mohammad. (See Judaism-no future). Jesus himself says: “The kingdom of God shall be taken from you (Jews), and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof”–(Matthew 21:43).
The only Prophet (Comforter) to come after Jesus and with ‘all truth” and who will “abide for ever” is the Prophet Mohammad.
Christians might be apt to claim that this prophecy of Matthew 21:43 relates to them. This is fanciful. Jesus was a Jew who upheld the Judaic law and enjoined his people to do the same. Thus, those who want to follow Jesus would also be following the Judaic law. But Christians are not following Christ or the Judaic law, they are following the Church/Paul. Trinity, inherited sin and vicarious atonement are not teachings of Christ.
Christians are following paganism –son of God dying for sins is a remnant of Paganism (Ref. Qur’an 9:30; to which Muhammad Ali notes: “when St. Paul saw that the Jews would on no account accept Jesus Christ as a messenger of God, he introduced the pagan doctrine of sonship of God into the Christian religion, so that it might become more acceptable to the pagans.”
And Maurice Bucaille comments about St.(?)Paul,
“He was considered to be a traitor to Jesus’s thought by the latter’s family and by the apostles who had stayed in Jerusalem in the circle around James. Paul created Christianity at the expense of those whom Jesus had gathered around him to spread his teachings”–The Bible, The Qur’an And Science, p.52).
Son of God dying for sins is not the teaching of Christ; it is the teaching of Paul: “Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel”–(2 Tim, 2:8; Gal. 1:6). Paul was a self-admitted liar who forged his own gospel. The Church/Christians is the antiChrist.
Christ is only a figurehead in the Church. The religion of the Church/Christians may more rightly be called Paulianity or Churchianity.
That Jesus is replacing the old Law (of Moses).
Jesus did not replace the Law of Moses.
Jesus’ mission as he clearly proclaimed was to save Jews. Jesus stressed observance of the Mosaic Law as the vehicle into heaven, until the arrival of the Comforter who will guide into “all truth” and will “abide for ever.”
While Jesus may have been a name for his people to get into heaven. As the Comforter is the one who will bring/give ‘all truth” and will “abide for ever, it is the Comforter who is the only name on earth whereby man can get into heaven.
With the advent of Mohammad, no man cometh to God but by Mohammad.
That the transfiguration is a preview of Jesus’ coming glorification and enthronement as King of kings and Lord of lords.
This is a delusion.
That Jesus will be returning for a 1000-year rule is Christians’ fantasy, erected on conjecture and ancient alien mythology.
Whereas David was an earthly king, the Church/Christians made Jesus into a heavenly king and ruler of future-world.
Whether the “transfiguration” of Jesus is scripture or “literary larceny.” Christians can robe Jesus Christ in whatever celestial suit they fancy. The stark truth (as substantiated by the Qur’an) is as Jesus unambiguously, emphatically and categorically declared that God sent him wholly and solely only for Jews; so much so that he considered non-Jews “dogs” and “swine” and preached in parables so these metaphorical dogs and swine would not understand and be converted and saved.
(The real dogs and swine are the ones on all-fours, running around going arf! arf! and oink! oink!).
Christians who desire to inhabit mansions in heaven and know about Islam/Mohammad have no choice but to follow Islam/Mohammad: There is no God but Allāh; Mohammad is the messenger of Allāh!

Incidentally, the publishers also note that Jesus was sought by Jews to be killed because of his condemnation of Jewish authorities and NOT for fulfilling scripture. In the ‘Bible Dictionary’ section they note as part of the explanation of the term ‘scribe’:
“Their familiarity with the law allowed the scribes to take on a role of growing importance in Jewish society –teaching in the synagogues, serving as judges, and be-coming members of the Sanhedrin.
