THE RESURRECTION & LIFE
Jesus is reported as having said: “I am the resurrection, and the life”–(John 11:25-26).
Christians usually quote this statement to claim that Jesus is the only way to God. But every prophet of God is the “resurrection, and the life” to his people.
What is to borne in mind is that Jesus mostly spoke in metaphors. All this statement means is that Jesus resurrects the moral and spiritual dead, and they, in following Jesus’ instructions, will have eternal life.The rest of Jesus’ statement makes this clear: “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die Believest thou this?”–(John 11:25-26).
Here again is Jesus’ statement with comments:
“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live (the physical dead could not have believed in Jesus; the moral and spiritual dead who came to believe in Jesus now have moral and spiritual life and hope for life eternal). And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die (clearly, Jesus is speaking about life in the Hereafter for there are many who believed in Jesus and have died; every person has to die; but the believers in him having moral and spiritual life will have eternal life: “shall. never die”). Believest thou this?”–(John 11:25-26).
(It is rather intriguing that Jesus raised the literal dead considering that “it is appointed unto men ONCE TO DIE;” which would mean that the dead Christ raised would have died twice, contradicting the Bible–Hebrews 9:27).
With all his claim of being the resurrection and the life yet Jesus exhorted his followers to do as the scribes and Pharisees bid them do and that eternal life lies in following the Commandments of Moses (until the coming of the COMFORTER who will guide into “all truth” and will abide “forever” and whom all are to follow):
“The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do;” “one came and said unto him (Jesus) Good Master, what good things shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him? Why callest thou me GOOD? There is NONE good but ONE, that is GOD: but if thou wilt enter life, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS;” “When he, the Spirit of truth (the Comforter), is come, he will guide you into ALL TRUTH”–(Matt. 23:2-3; 19:16-19; John 16:13; 14:15-16; 15:26).
There would have been no need to follow the scribes and Pharisees (and to wait for the Comforter to guide into “all truth”) if Christ was the only “resurrection” and “life.”
And this COMFORTER who guided us into “all truth” is as shown by Prof. Abdul Ahad Dawud B.D. –“the former Reverend David Benjamin Keldani, B.D., a Roman Catholic priest of the Uniate-Chaldean sect”– in his book Muhammad in the Bible is the Pro-phet Mohammad.
The Prophet Mohammad being the mercy to the world and having brought us the Qur’an –the Book of “all truth”– he is now the only “resurrection, and the life” for all people.
The Gospel of Matthew 1:21 states, “he (Jesus) shall save his people from their sins.” And Jesus’ people are the Jews; and he saved his people from their sins by calling them to repentance and forgiveness:
-“I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to REPENTANCE” (not to vicarious atonement) –(Matthew 9:13).
-“And when ye stand praying, FORGIVE, if ye have anything against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may FORGIVE you your trespasses, But if you do NOT forgive, NEITHER will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses”–(Mark 11:25-26; Luke 17:3-4).
-“When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven… FORGIVE US OUR SINS; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but DELIVER US FROM EVIL”–(Luke 11:2-4).
-“I tell you…except ye REPENT, ye shall all likewise perish”–(Luke 13:3, 5).
-“I say unto you, there is JOY in the presence of the angels of God over ONE SINNER THAT REPENTETH”–(Luke 15:10).
-“The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation (of Jews) and shall condemn it: because they REPENTED at the preaching of Jonas; and behold, a greater than Jonas is here” (that is to say, the people of Jonas repented but Jews do not repent even though Jesus who is greater than Jonas is preaching to them)–(Matthew 12:41).
As Jesus’ people were the Jews, thus Jesus was “the resurrection, and the life” only for his people, Jews, and only until the arrival of the Comforter.
Even if Jesus was “the resurrection, and the life” for the world yet this would not make him Divine or vicarious atoner.
Whereas Jesus was only a messenger of God sent to the Israelites to call them to “repentance” and “forgiveness”, Christians consigned Jesus to the bed of celibacy, crowned him with Divinity and made him scapegoat for non-existent inherited sin. (See JESUS-LIKE DAVID).
Jesus says you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free (from lies, falsehood, and blasphemy). And the Divine truth is, Jesus was a prophet of God sent ONLY FOR JEWS and to foretell the coming of the COMFORTER(MOHAMMAD) who will guide into “all truth” and will “abide forever” and whom all are to follow; and
“THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLĀH;
MOHAMMAD IS THE MESSENGER OF ALLĀH!”
While Allāh, God, would not call us to account for that which we do not know, when knowledge comes to us what reason or excuse can we have for not accepting and follow it? “But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath NEVERforgiveness but is in danger of ETERNAL DAMNATION”–(Mark 3:29).
While we are alive we have the grand opportunity to repent and have eternal life in Paradise. When we die there is no second chance.
