ALLĀH SAYS FOLLOW GOSPEL
Allāh says: “And let the People of the Gospel judge by that which Allāh has revealed in it. And whoever judges not by what Allāh has revealed, those are the transgressors”–(Qur’an 5:47). Muhammad Ali comments:
“Verses 44–47 are supposed by Christian critics to be evidence of the purity of the text of the Torah and the Gospel. This is not true. That the Torah was a Divine revelation containing light and guidance has never been denied. What is denied is that that light and guidance were kept intact throughout the ages. It is further denied that these two books were meant for the whole world and for all ages. They certainly contained light and guidance, but only for one people — the Israelites, and for a limited time. Notwithstanding the light and guidance contained in the Torah, the Gospel was sent down for the Israelite people, which shows clearly that the light and guidance contained in the Torah were not considered sufficient even for the Israelites for all ages, to say nothing of other nations.”
That this verse was revealed in the Seventh century (after the Gospel was tampered with1) does not mean that the Gospel is to be followed instead of the Qur’an. Allāh speaking about the Gospel refers to the Gospel He gave Jesus NOT the four books “according to” Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and “King James Version.” Muhammad Ali points out:
“The word Injil does not signify, as supposed by Muir and others, the New Testament. According to the Holy Qur’an no prophet, to whom any book was revealed, appeared after Jesus Christ, who, being the last of the Israelite Prophets, was granted a revelation called the Injil, which stands for the Evangel or the Gospel, and signifies literally good tidings. The reason why Jesus’s revelation was called Gospel or good tidings is that it gave the glad news of the advent of the Last of the Prophets, which is variously described in Jesus’s meta-phorical language as the advent of the kingdom of God (Mark. 1:15), the coming of the Lord (Matt. 21:40), the appearance of the Comforter (John 14:16), or the Spirit of Truth (John 14:17), etc. Not only are the Acts, the Epistles, and the Book of Revelation not recognized by the Qur’an as parts of the Injil, or the Gospel, but it does not even recognize the Gospels according to Matthew, etc., as the Injil which was revealed to Jesus Christ, though the current Gospels might contain fragments of the original teaching. This view of the Gospel as taken by the Qur’an is now admitted to be the correct one, as all criticism points to some original of the synoptics which is now entirely lost.(See note #6) The Qur’an nowhere suggests that the original Injil, the revelation to Jesus Christ, existed at the time of the Holy Prophet.
The Torah and the Gospel were undoubtedly a guidance before the Qur’an; but even as they now exist, they afford guidance in many respects with a mixture of error, and contain numerous prophecies fulfilled in the advent of Prophet Muhammad”–(comm. Qur’an 3:3-4).
It would be poor cerebration to entertain that Allāh would have man follow the Gospel (and Bible) which is devoid of “all truth” and which He decreed to become obsolete, and to disregard the Qur’an which is “perfected” and in which His favor to man is “completed” and which contains teachings for all facets of life –material, moral, social, spiritual, and intellectual.
It is absurd to say that Allāh would tell man to follow the current Gospels which are “according to” Matthew Mark Luke and John in neglect of His Qur’an.
Christianity –Divinity of Jesus, inherited sin and vicarious atonement– is not to be confused with Christ. The Gospel Allāh God gave to Christ does not teach these doctrines.
Christians are to give judgment as per the Gospel God gave to Jesus. Thus if Christians loved Jesus and were judging according to the Gospel of Jesus they would be keeping Jesus’ commandments (John 14:15) and would have no alternative but to accept Mohammad/Islam.
In looking to the Qur’an for the fruit of legitimacy for their religious lies, falsehood, and blasphemy Christians are clamoring at the wrong tree.
Another verse of the Qur’an that the Christian/apostate claims converted him to Christianity/Jesus is Qur’an 10:94 which says: “If you have any doubt in this Qur’an which I give you, go and read the Bible or ask the people, those who read the Bible. The truth is already revealed in that.”
The apostate is trying to interpret the verse without its context, which necessitates reading from verse 93 to 95, which we will show shortly.
First: By following Mohammad the apostate was already following Jesus. As both Jesus and Mohammad taught that Jesus was a messenger sent only for Jews; that eternal life lies in following the Ten Commandments until the arrival of the Comforter/Ahmad who will guide into “all truth” and will “abide for ever.”
(As shown on this site, Jesus as God, “begotten” Son of God; Trinity and inherited sin and vicarious atonement are NOT Divine revelations or taught by Jesus. These doctrines by the Church/Christians are ASSUMED. And heaven lies in following clearly defined Divine injunctions NOT in following human assumptions and conjectures).
It is preposterous to claim:
- that Allāh/Qur’an directed you to follow the Bible and converted you to Christianity seeing that Allāh says the Qur’an is the best message
- that Allāh/Qur’an directed you to follow the Bible and converted you to Christianity seeing that Allāh declares Trinity and Divinity of Jesus as blasphemy
- that Allāh/Qur’an directed you to follow the Bible and converted you to Christianity seeing that Allāh denies inherited sin and vicarious atonement
- that Allāh/Qur’an directed you to follow the Bible and converted you to Christianity seeing that Allāh rejects the Christian belief of son of God as a heinous assertion
- that Allāh/Qur’an directed you to follow the Bible and converted you to Christianity seeing that Allāh has rejected the doctrine of Mariolatry (worship of Mary, the Christian’s “Mother of God”).
- that Allāh/Qur’an directed you to follow the Bible and converted you to Christianity seeing that Allāh revealed that the Christian son of God belief is paganism–(see Christianity is Paganism).
- that Allāh/Qur’an directed you to follow the Bible and converted you to Christianity seeing that the Church/Christianity is antiChrist
- that Allāh/Qur’an directed you to follow the Bible and converted you to Christianity seeing that Allāh says that only Islam is acceptable to Him.
In fact, given that Jesus taught he was only for Jews and that eternal life lies in following the Mosaic Law until the arrival of the Comforter/Mohammad –all of which are echoed in the Qur’an– the apostate would not be following and preaching Trinity, Godhood of Jesus, “begotten” Son of God, inherited sin and vicarious atonement, which are anathema to Jesus and God; the apostate would be following and preaching Islam.
Moreover, no religion can be shown to be superior to, or equal with, Islam. Islam is superior to all other religions.
Regarding the apostate’s claim that chapter 10 verse 94 of the Qur’an which says: “If you have any doubt in this Qur’an which I give you, go and read the Bible or ask the people, those who read the Bible. The truth is already revealed in that.” converted him to Christianity. As stated, to understand the meaning of this verse reading from verse 93-95 is required. Here are the three verses:
(verse 93) “And certainly We lodged the Children of Israel in a goodly abode and provided them with good things. Then they differed not till the knowledge came to them. Surely thy Lord will judge between them on the day of Resurrection concerning that in which they differed.” This verse speaks about the early Israelite/Jews who were given the Holy Land.
(verse 94) “But if thou art in doubt as to that which We have revealed to thee, ask those who read the Book before thee. Certainly the Truth has come to thee from thy Lord, so be not thou of the doubters.” In this verse Allāh is telling the Israelite/Jews who lived in Arabia that if they doubt the Qur’an for them to ask their older generation “those who read the Book before thee.” The ending words of the verse, Certainly the Truth has come to thee from thy Lord, so be not thou of the doubters” clearly shows that the Qur’an is to be followed. This alone obliterates the apostate’s claim that Allāh/Qur’an “converted” him to Christianity. The next verse makes the matter even clearer:
(verse 95) “And be not of those who reject the messages of Allåh, (for) then thou wilt be of the losers.” This verse needs no comment to belie the apostate’s claim that Allāh/Qur’an “converted” him to Christianity.
How then does the Qur’an tells you to follow Christianity?
It is worth adding that in doubting the Qur’an the Jews were doubting the Divine Messengership of Mohammad. Though they know that Mohammad’s advent –as the Shiloh, and prophet like Moses; and Jesus mentioned him as Comforter– was foretold in the Bible. As Allāh pointed out:
-“Those whom We have given the Book recognize him (Mohammad) as they recognize their sons. And a party of them surely conceal the truth while they know”–(Qur’an 2:146)
-“And surely this (Qur’an) is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. The Faithful Spirit has brought it. On thy (Mohammad’s) heart that thou mayest be a warner, In plain Arabic language. And surely the same (Qur’an) is in the Scriptures of the ancients. Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Children of Israel know it?–(Qur’an 26:192-197).
(For prophecies about the Prophet Mohammad’s advent in the Bible that the Jews knew about see Judaism).
In his translation of the Qur’an Muhammad Ali has explained Arabic words/terms and has given a background to verses and explanations from Islamic, Biblical and historical sources. His translation of the Qur’an cane be viewed/downloaded at: www.muslim.org.
When you follow others blindly you make them your “god.” Allāh God reveals:
“They (Christians) take their doctors of law and their monks for lords besides Allāh, and (also) the Messiah, son of Mary. And they were enjoined that they should serve one God only — there is no god but He. Be He glorified from what they set up (with Him)!–(Qur’an 9:31, 34).
To which Muhammad Ali notes:
“It is related in a hadith that, when this verse was revealed, ‘Adi ibn Hatim, a convert from Christianity, asked the Holy Prophet as to the significance of this verse, for, he said, we did not worship our doctors of law and monks.
The Holy Prophet’s reply was: Was it not that the people considered lawful what their priests declared to be lawful, though it was forbidden by God.
Hatim replied in the affirmative. That, the Prophet said, was what the verse meant (Tirmidhi, 44:9; IJ).
Muslims who accord a similar position to their pirs or saints are guilty of the same error.”
Do not be like Christians who make their leaders “gods,” considering as “lawful’ Trinity, Divinity of Jesus, “begotten” Sonship of God, inherited sin and vicarious atonement.
Blind faith (and human inventions) is no passport to paradise!
Christians can reject Mohammad but Christians cannot refute Mohammad’s claim to Divine Dispensation. In fact, of all the claimants to Divine Dispensation (Jesus included) Mohammad is the only one who can substantiate his claim –the inimitable Qur’an being his proof (see Qur’an-prophecies; Qur’an-science; Jesus-did not exist; Jesus-redundant no ransom).
In contrast, all Jesus did was perform a few miracles –of which there are no evidence today to substantiate; and the pool at Bethesda also performed miracle; and even false Christs and false prophets can perform miracles as Jesus declared–;
Jesus made prophecies about wars and famine –and there have been wars and famine before Jesus was born and the Bible is soaked with blood in the name of God; and even Nostradamus made prophecies that are said to have manifested–;
Jesus gave a sermon (riddled with absurdities such as to give a suer your coat as well as your cloak and to not work but depend on God for sustenance as He gave to the birds and flowers)2 which perhaps any wise person with oratory skills can give (listen to some politicians speak though they are not wise).
These can hardly be proofs of prophethood; much less are they proofs of Godhood.
Moreover, not only can the Gospels not prove the Divine messengership of Jesus, the Bible –the Old Testament and the Gospel– cannot prove the existence of Jesus.
Christians say there are prophecies (which they force onto Jesus) about the coming of Jesus.3 But considering that The Old Testament was not only tampered with, it was “written in several languages over a period of MORE THAN NINE HUNDRED YEARS, based on ORAL TRADITIONS,”4 and “the foremost authority was the ORAL TRADITION as a vehicle for Jesus’s words and the teachings of the apostles;” “the authors of the Gospels were NOT EYE-WITNESSES of the data they recorded;”5 and “the ORIGINAL AUTOGRAPH OF NO BOOK in the New Testament is known.”6
Judge Julie would not blink twice to throw such “hearsay” materials out her Court.
Thus, from a Biblical, logical, and Judicial perspective JESUS CHRIST DID NOT EXIST. (See Jesus-had a wife).
Moreover, given the conjectures and doubt surrounding Jesus:
-whereas some Christians say Jesus is God some say he is only Son of God (Jesus is only “CALLED” son of God and the Biblical God has a legion of sons and daughters);
-whereas some say there is Trinity some reject Trinity;
-whereas some say Christ died for inherited sin some say he died for committed sin;
-whereas some believe Jesus was killed, buried, and raised, “some of the early Christian sects did not believe that Christ was killed on the cross. The Basilidans believed that some one else was substituted for him. The Docetae held that Christ never had a real physical or natural body, but only an apparent or phantom body, and that his Crucifixion was only apparent, not real. The Marcionite Gospel (about A.D. 138) denied that Jesus was born, and merely said that he appeared in human form;”7
-whereas some Christians say Jesus was of virgin birth Paul taught Jesus had human father–
but for Mohammad Jesus Christ may have long since been relegated to the bin of myths and legends.
It was Mohammad who, through Divine Grace, removed the shroud of calumny wrapped around Jesus and his mother, Mary –that Mary was an “adulteress” and Jesus was of illegitimate birth– and appareled them in rubious robes of righteousness; and cleared away the clouds of conjectures shrouding Jesus and sat him elegantly in the celestial spotlight of Divine Truth –of him being human and a prophet of God– and has secured for them the unflagging allegiance of more than two billion Muslims. And counting.
As Islam spirits on. Inexorably. Invincibly. Impregnably. As Divinely decreed. To prevail over all:
“He (Allāh) it is Who sent His Messenger (Mohammad) with guidance and the Religion of Truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, though the polytheists are averse”–(Qur’an 9:32-33; 48:28; 61:8-9).

“The term “Bible” was not used to designate the Holy Scriptures until the time of the early Church Fathers about A.D. 400.” “During the 1,200 or more years when its materials were being written, the Bible did not circulate as a single book.” (Notably, the Bible was written over a period of “1,200 or more years”).
“Centuries of hand copying subjected the text of the Old Testament to all the problems attendant upon the preservation of a correct text by such means. By the time of the Council of Jamnia there were so many variations among the manuscripts that to determine certainly the exact words of Scripture became a major problem.”
“For the New Testament, more than 4,000 Greek manuscripts (not Hebrew or Aramaic), preserving all or part of the text, are known, the earliest sizeable texts dating from about A.D. 200 (200 years after Christ). There are some 8,000 manuscripts of the Latin Vulgate and at least 1,000 other versions into which the original books were translated. Since the original autograph of no book in the New Testament is known, it becomes the task of the textual expert to deal with the thousands of variant readings to be found in this multitude of ancient manuscripts. These manuscripts are compared and studied in order to establish a critical text that gives reasonable assurance of being as near the original as can be determined.”
“1500-500? B.C.–The Old Testament is put into writing.”
“A.D. 52?-100?–The New Testament is written, coming to us in koiné Greek, the common language of the time, although some portion may have been first set down in Aramaic, the language spoken by Christ.”(pp. 3, 9).
